Brief History of the Library
The Jackson State Community College Library was originally built in 1967 and a two-story addition was completed in 1972. Ms. Henrietta Henderson served as Library Director beginning in 1967 until Mr. Van Veatch assumed the role of Director in 1968. He retired in 1991 and Scott Cohen became the third Library Director at that time.
A complete guide to using the Library, the handbook includes information on the Library's services, policies, staff, the research process, and finding and evaluating information. A map is included to help orient you to the spatial layout of the Library on Jackson campus.
