How can I put an item on reserve for my students?

When a faculty member has a personal book, article, or other learning resource that they would like to share with their students, or if several students are researching the same topic and will need to use the same resources, putting the items on reserve is an good option.

Reserve items are shelved behind the circulation desk and are available upon request. The loan period can be either 2 hours, 1 day, 1 week, or 2 weeks.

My students need help learning how to do research, what library instruction services are available?

The library has a comprehensive Library Instruction program. Performing research and practicing information literacy skills helps students develop critical thinking and analytical skills that are essential for school, the workplace, and lifelong learning. We're here to help faculty integrate research assignments into their curriculum and help students complete them effectively while learning vital information literacy skills. I teach online or at a satellite location, how can you help me?

We really like working with faculty and students in off-campus locations because we know that you need assistance with access as well as reference. Please look through the Off-Campus Services page to learn about the various options available to you. Fill out the Ask a Reference Question form to request assistance. We can also visit your class at a satellite location or develop an online Subject Guide specifically for your curriculum and location.

I need an item that you don't have; can you get it from another library?

We can request items from another library through Interlibrary Loan. Please fill out the Interlibrary Loan form for Books or Periodicals. If you want to renew a book that you received through Interlibrary Loan, remember to request the renewal a least one week before the due date.
